چکیده
The objective of this work was to develop and characterize solid lipid nanoparticle (SLN)-loaded mucoadhesive films reveal their potential as successful drug formulations. SLNs based on (Lipoid S100) surfactant (polysorbate 80) were prepared using the solvent-injection method, properties examined experimental designs. Further, marker coumarin 6 (C6) solubilized in particles a model for lipophilic drug. Lipid concentrations influenced particle size, while C6 had minor impact. size distribution narrow storage stability satisfactory 4 months (4 ?). incorporation nanoparticles into film matrix consisting HPMC glycerol, increased thickness flexibility, slightly decreased mechanical strength. mucin interaction disintegration time unimpaired. Film uniformity satisfactory. Solubilisation reduced rate extent permeation through monolayer mucus-producing HT29-MTX cells. When incorporated film, effect compensated for. In conclusion, project first step development an SLN-loaded formulation served its purpose revealing formulation’s uniformity, mucoadhesiveness biocompatibility.

The purpose of the study was to develop Tizanidine HCl (TZN) and Meloxicam (MLX) loaded bilayer mucoadhesive films intended for buccal administration, aiming to enhance the bioavailability. Bilayer films were prepared by solvent evaporation technique selecting arabinoxylan (ARX) as a sustained release (SR) layer forming polymer and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) E-15 as an immediate relea...
متن کاملDevelopment of Mucoadhesive Buccal Films of Glipizide
For improving bioavailability in controlled release fashion and to circumvent the hepatic first pass effect of glipizide mucoadhesive buccal films of glipizide were prepared by solvent casting technique. Buccal films were prepared using hydroxy propylmethylcellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, carbopol934P and Eudragit RL-100. Films were evaluated for their weight, thickness, surface pH, sw...

متن کاملDevelopment and In vitro Evaluation of Mucoadhesive Buccal Films of Nebivolol
Nebivolol, a cardioselective β-blocker undergoes extensive metabolism in the liver after its oral administration resulting in low bioavailability. Oral administration of nebivolol also causes gastrointestinal disturbances characterised by stomach ache. To overcome these short comings, mucoadhesive buccal films of nebivolol were prepared using different concentrations of hydroxypropyl methylcell...
